Net Monitor protects an individual computer from network traffic that can cause harm to that computer. Net monitor achieve this by two actions:

Allow : The Net monitor Allows some traffic to flow. This is usually traffic that is known to be "safe", usually because you have defined it, application by application, to be "safe." Examples of traffic normally classified as safe include Outlook, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Outlook Express, and other common networking and communications software.

Block
: The Net monitor Blocks some traffic. This is usually traffic that is known to be problematic or dangerous to your computer.
By using Net monitor rules, the Personal Net monitor can systematically Allow, Block on incoming traffic from specific IP addresses and ports. The configuration of those rules with other security settings provides a security agent that protects your computer.  

Add a rule

AGuard comes with default security policy settings. However, the user can customize the default settings and default rules extensively.

Click clip0112 to add a new rule. You can select whether "Allow" or "Block", and choose to set Specify Foreign IP, Specify Local Port, and Specify Protocol. You also can add a Discription of the rule.

Delete a Rule
Click clip0155 to delete a selected rule.

Edit a Rule
Click clip0158 to modify a selected rule.

Important: The Net monitor is inactive by default. It is suggested for experienced users. Activate the Net Monitor without proper configuration might interrupt your access to Internet.
